Scheduled maintenance
Oil change service: due at every 5000 miles/8000 kilometers
By BMW recommendation you should use only an approved, full synthetic motor oil. Due to the Caribbean climate and the typical Dominican stop and go driving you should replace the oil every 5000 miles or 8000 kilometers. We have, and some of our customers also have seen the damage that had been done to their cars as a result of going by the manufacturer’s suggested interval. The costs to repair these extensive damages are quite costly and some cases require engine disassembly even at a low mileage.
The service includes resetting of service reminder light. Let us check and show you the condition of your engine.
Service One:
due at every 15000 miles/24000 kilometers
This service includes an oil change and an extensive inspection of all major components, particularly those involved with the safety such as brakes. Includes computer readout/diagnostics, checking for possible software updates and advising customer for further service needs. Also includes resetting of service reminder light.
Service Two:
due at every 30000 miles/48000 kilometers
This service includes everything in Service One and also replacing various filters, checking and/or replacing fluids, lubrications and adjustments. Though the manufacturer does not include the fuel filter replacement in their service, we strongly suggest to replace it this time. It adds a little cost to the service, but it will keep the fuel injectors in good condition, therefore prolonging their life, saving fuel, having a better gas mileage. Includes computer readout/diagnostics, checking for possible software updates and advising customer for further service needs. Also includes resetting of service reminder light.
Fluid services
Brake fluid: every 2 years
- Engine coolant: every 4 years (BMW coolant only)
- Power steering fluid: every 60000 miles
- Differential fluid: every 60000 miles
- Transmission fluid(manual): every 60000 miles
- Transmission fluid (automatic): every 100000 miles
Tune up
- Spark plugs: every 100000 miles
- Oxygen sensors: every 100000 mile
